My new tank is all set up and ready to go!!! Pic inside!

Post by pinkfloydpuffer »

My 80g is finally cycled! 0/0/5 :) It was 0/0/80 a week ago lol, but I've been doing lots of water changes...
It's all ready for my GSPs! They're gonna go in as soon as Kiwi gets here, and I can't wait!
This is a really tall tank, and I couldn't find any decor to go all the way up, so I hope this is sufficient...
I hope you like it, let me know any suggestions. I think it looks just like the Utah desert (where I live) so I like it.

For reference, they're flagstone used in ponds and yards. I got them at the nearby nursery :)

$150 for tank, stand, and lots of extras, most of which I threw out cause they were useless, ie UGF, powerhead that was electrocuting the water, scary heater, and tons and tons of gravel lol

Excellent, I thoughts that what it was, I have tons of flagstone in my garden, and I've made "caves" for 2 of my tanks. I glued river rocks underneath to make a sloping shelter for my cories.

The 55 gallon set up from petco that costs like $300 for everything, I got off craigslist for $100. Stand, tank, fiter, lights, hoods, decorations, gravel, heater etc... Just the tank at petco is $110. I found a 150 gallon reef ready, for $500, he was including EVERYTHING and would come help set it up. If only I had more room.
