My boss said he hopes the vet give me good news tomorrow. Apparently I've been a little snacky at work today.
It's ok though he got a few good laughs out of my temper tantrums.

Great news! Annabelle is treatable! I talked to the guy in the chat room about his article. He sent me a link on what to get and how to treat. He said do 4 treatments and she should be worm free. Completely worm free. The Levamisole HCl powderwill kill all the worms even the tapeworm. She should not get reinfested as long as I don't feed her any feeder fish. Which I don't btw. He also said I should treat both tanks just in case. Which I plan to do. I'll wait for the vet to call tomorrow and see if I can get the meds through them or if I'll have to order it online. He said she's going to be ok. I'm so happy! I'll keep everyone posted.

Congrats!!! its good to hear that Annabelle is going to get better!!! just keep at it and hopefully this will be the last of those nasty worms!!!

Hope you have better luck with levimisole than I did - I wanted to try it to see if the persistant IPs "Puffy" seems to suffer from might be something it could treat. My puffers acted as if it was burning their skin off for a while, then sank like stones to the bottom of the tank by the end of an hour, off color and having trouble breathing. Did an 80% water change, and they got a bit better, and went totally back to normal after another 80% the next day. Watch her VERY closely for at least an hour before moving away from the tank after adding it. Btw, gel tek contains flubendazole, and therefor should kill these worms. I'd feed her large amounts of it(geltek is very low dose, so for a large fish, they might need quite a bit of soaked food) - I find freeze dried krill are like geltek sponges.

Treatable is good, so glad there's light at the end of the tunnel, you've had such a hard time with this just lately, it's about time you had a break, a bit of good luck.

Thanks for the head up Nick. I'll ask the vet about flubendazole, if they have it I'll use it instead. No need to take a chance on hurting her. If not the website I found also has flubendazole for sale. I sent you a pm to make sure it's the right stuff. Let me know what you think.
