Puffers and Cichlids
What do you think about cichlids as tank mates for GSP's?

Incompatible water conditions - as stated above. GSP's are BW and will need SW as adults...most cichlids are FW.
Additionally, cichlids and puffers are high bioload fish and that would make for maintenance issues...also, you'd need a crazy big tank - as most common cichlids get to be humongous...and GSP's top out at 6" themselves.
I've had cichlids with my FW puffers, that is how I know about the maintenance issues.
But the long and short of it is - GSP's and FW cichlids are not compatible.
