Hey guys I was wondering if it would be okay to add another GSP to my tank. I currently have one GSP which is roughly 2", maybe less, in a 29 gallon tank. Would it be okay to buy another GSP?

Not without upgrading to 60 at least... I'm no expert, but I think that once you get more than one, you need 40g per GSP, since they're pretty territorial. So, my guess is you'd need more like 80g, but don't take my word for it.

Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

Aye, we generally say 30 gallons per GSP minimum. I would stick with a single GSP, and consider starting to move into the marine environment (even just looking at your different options and whatnot). There are a variety of SW puffers that you can keep with your GSP in a much larger tank (which will give you some variety).
Also, I find that you lose the personality of your puffer when you keep multiples of the same species. If you're still set on getting two, you should be upgrading your tank BEFORE you get the second one.

Most of them seem to be okay, so long as they're slightly bigger than your GSP when you get them. For smaller tanks, I would look into getting a Toby (there are a few Toby species).
Remember, though, that any addition of fish will require you to upgrade the tank size, as a 29 gallon is only sufficient for a single GSP.
