 You need to have a talk with him. Tell him he needs to eat the mussel and not sleep on the mussel.
Don't feed him any ghost shrimp for a couple of days and try the mussel again. I only feed mine every 3 days. It's ok to skip a few days of feeding. This will also give him time to get settled.

edmlfc1, wait a bit before you try again.

keep soaking the food in the garlic, eventually it should entice him to eat it
i'm busy thinking of ways to remember what i was going to say

Good News! I get home from work today and I have this handsome fellow to greet me at the front of the glass wagin his tail like a dog. I threw in a mussel and he chowed down, didn't overeat though. Now he is cruising around checking out his new home. :D

Yay! Glad he's settling in finally.

This guy seems like he's got quite the personality - that pic you posted of when he took the mussel with him back to his little hole made me laugh out loud.

Does it look like white spot?

That was a literal LOL picture, by the way, with the mussel.

Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

By the way, you should try clearing up that photo digitally and submitting it to Puffer of the Month.
