Before he died, Puffy used to love to kiss me. Just think of it as a kiss... not a "Your finger looks delicious..." *nom nom nom*

my word... he could of done some damage.

Cutie pie went through a stage of nipping me when i first got her now she will eat from my hand although she will swim over very very fast when my hand goes in but if she sees theres no food shee just hover near by now. Bubba has always been too laid back to be honest and is gentle taking food from my hands hats just millimetres long gently... not bad for a 17"+ fish

I've been bitten by my gsp's before. It was just a little nip. :D No damage done. Elvis (s&s) is 10" but he's never tried to bite me. He's just now letting me touch him. With Annabelle (fahaka)is 6" I can reach into the tank and hold her. She's never tried to bite me either.

Bubba has bit me a few times, hard enough to leave a blood blister. He's a 5-6" turgidus.

I'm really thankful that Paris has grinding plates instead of "teeth".. she could really do some damage. She still can, there's been times she's grabbed the feeding tongs and wouldn't let go, just about rips them out of my hands.

There's just all sorts of awesome in that statement!
"Darwin swings...annnnnnd a miss. Boy Jim, Chuck's suffered at the plate tonight. He's 0 for 3 and I'm not sure he's recovered from that shoulder pull a few weeks ago. I'll bet the front office is re-thinking that contract."

My previous Fahaka, Mother got me while I was hand feeding an obviously too small shrimp. She was about 11" at the time, she got my right index finger, through the nail and just clipped the bone. How did it feel? Take a nail and drive it through your fingernail and finger and you've got the general idea. I ended up losing the nail.

Wow that is a very sobering story. You know it's possible that they could do something like that, but when you actually hear how it happened to someone...yikes.

ROTFL!
"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

Annabelle just bit me! I was trying to check her for worms and she was under the log. I was trying to move her out from under the log and she spun around and bit me! My sweet angel is turning into a demon fish! I guess she had enough of me messing with her and didn't want to be bothered. She didn't break the skin but she sure scared me.

This may sound gross but here goes.... Her anus was a bit swollen this morning. I noticed it when I was feeding her. It was like a lump at her anus. The last time she had that she started passing worm. Which was not too long ago, I thought she had passed all of it but I was wrong. She still has it. I catch her put her in a net and flip her over and look for anything white or stringy coming out of her anus. I use a flash light so that I can see. I gently push on her tummy towards her anus and her anus starts to open. This is not something I do daily, only if I suspect a problem. Anyway I had just checked her a few minutes before, so I grabbed the flashlight and she was under the log so I couldn't see her anus. I wanted to see if the lump had gone down or gone away. I put my hand in the tank to move her from under the long and that's when she bit me. I guess she was still mad about me checking her and didn't want to be bothered. Once I got her out from under the long I noticed white stringy pooh coming for her anus and the lump is now gone. I don't know if this works for all worms that puffers may have. Annabelle was diagnosed with "tapeworm" and that's one of the signs that I've noticed in her. Hope this helps you. If you want to see more about it go to the hospital forum and look for Annabelle IP's. It's all in my posting.

Well, hopefully, the grouchiness is a sign that she's feeling better. You know, sort of a "Omigod, Mom, just leave me alone!" kind of thing.
