I expected the tank to recycle, nothing is going to stop it, unless I would have lowered the sg by .002 per week. I just didn't have that long.

Since this board has been up, we have found there are several questions that routinely get asked in order to help diagnose problems. If you can have that information to begin with in your post, we'll be able to help right away (if we can!) without having to wait for you to post the info we need.
1) Your water parameters - pH, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrates and salinity (if appropriate). This is by far the most important information you can provide! Do not answer this with "Fine" "Perfect" "ok", that tells us nothing. We need hard numbers.
2) Tank size and a list of ALL inhabitants. Include algae eaters, plecos, everything. We need to know what you have and how big the tank is.
3) Feeding, water change schedule and a list of all products you are using or have added to the tank (examples: Cycle, Amquel, salt, etc)
4) What changes you've made in the tank in the last week or so. Sometimes its the little things that make all the difference.
5) How long the aquarium has been set up, and how did you cycle it? If you don't know what cycling is read this: Fishless Cycling Article and familiarize yourself with all the information. Yes. All of it.
We want to help, and providing this information will go a LONG way to getting a diagnosis and hopeful cure that much faster.
While you wait for assistance:
One of the easiest and best ways to help your fish feel better is clean water! If you are already on a regular water change schedule (50% weekly is recommended) a good step to making your fish more comfortable while waiting for diagnosis/suggestions is to do a large water change immediately. Feel free to repeat daily or as often as you can, clean water is always a good thing! Use of Amquel or Prime as a dechlor may help with any ammonia or nitrite issues, and is highly recommended.
Note - if you do not normally do large water changes, doing a sudden, large water change could shock your fish by suddenly changing their established water chemistry. Clean water is still your first goal, so in this case, do several smaller (10%) water changes over the next day or two before starting any large ones.

Prime neutralizes the amm. in the tank water. I have plenty of it on hand.

Re: Somethings wrong with Elvis
We are now in Hypo! The count down starts tomorrow. I'm ready for the roller coaster ride, I just hope Elvis is too.
Chong is looking really good. Elvis is sulking in the corner. While doing the water change little Chong was loving on Elvis. He wants his big brother to get better and so do I.
It was so cute he was on Elvis head right between his eyes. I tried to get a pic but I can't quite reach the back corner with my camera, there's a wall there. If he does it again I'll try to get the pic. He sure loves him Elvis.
I'll update with test results tomorrow.

Re: Somethings wrong with Elvis
No I don't believe that.
He's been snuggling up to Elvis since Cheech passed. He went through a depression stage and a hunger strike. I think it was about 9 days before he would eat. A few days after that he started snuggling with Elvis. Now he hardly ever leaves his side or the top of his head.
Elvis dosen't seem to mind at all. It's like the Skipper and Gilligan.

Re: Somethings wrong with Elvis
yeah, how's elvis handling the salinity? Don't just rely on Chang to tell you, remember being a naturally brackish fish, chong is always going to be happier at lower salinities to elvis...
what about your wrasse and eel? are they doing ok? if you are 1.009 have elvis's fin spots gone?
Crossing fingers and toes and waiting for a reply.

Re: Somethings wrong with Elvis
Elvis is swimming around and begging for food, Chong is right on his tail fin following him around. My snowflake eel's black is a little faded, the wrasse and the lawnmower blennie look ok. It dosen't look like Elvis has that extreme slime coat this morning like he's had for the last few days. No change from last night. About to test my water I'll update soon.
Edit: Amm. .25-.50, ph 8.2, nitrite 0, nitrate 0-5
I just fed them, the eel is the only one that refused food. I got lucky with my blennie, he likes the shrimp pellets, now that there's no rock for him to gaze on I've been feeding him pellets. He's still eating also.

Re: Somethings wrong with Elvis
Just got some bad news. The water company will shut the water off from 9am - 3pm tomorrow. After the water comes back on we will be under a boil notice. This means I won't be able to change water until the boil notice is lifted. I swear sometimes I can stand My water company!
%^&(&*^%^ FULL MOON!
