Elvis was having a bit of constipation. I accidently discoved that feeding him seaweed keeps him regular.
I ran out of his sea veggies (seaweed) that I give him as a snack. I didn't get any for almost 3 weeks. I noticed about a week ago that he started to show signs of constipation. I bought some more sea veggies and bam! Problem solved.
Now he's a big pooh machine! Don't know if anyone else has ever tried this or had the same experience so I thought I would share. My Puffers: 1 GSP (Microfiche) RIP, 1 Monotrete Turgidus (Leon) in a 30gal. 1 Monotrete suvattii in a 40 gal FW. 120 gallon BW with 3 juvenile Dragon Gobies (so cool). 55 gal with a 2" GSP named Hank. 180 gallon being set up for a Fahaka in the next few months!
Well...That would make sense. The seaveggies must contain natural fiber. I would imagine, like humans, eating bran or a good healthy veggies keeps them regular. Boy, I have the "I puff when I poo" (PP) going through my head right now.....

We'll keep it quiet, just us and the rest of the forum . I haven't laughed so hard in a long time and I really needed it that day.

most all sw puffers are omnivorous and would eat various macroalgae if they were in the wild. many of the toby puffers have macroalgae as a major component of their diet. so, if say you cut a vital part of your diet, i'm sure you would discover some discomfort when you are.....you know.....mid puff
