This morning I found my saddled Valentini (Antonin) and my royal gramma (Grandma) dead. I added a Papuan toby last night and everyone seemed to be geting along for about 4 hours (time between putting him into the tank and me going to sleep). The tank is 30g and I was told by my LFS that the toby and valentini would not have issues. IN FACT the valentini was with the toby for about 2 weeks in the LFS between the time that the valentini was picked up at the airpot and the time that i picked him up.
the royal gramma was in ich treatment via hyposalinity in a QT for the past 4 weeks and had just been reintroduced on tuesday. i saw the gramma come out last night for some food.
neither deceased fish looks like it got into a fight or is mangled, etc.
water paramters for pH, amonia, nitrite, nitrate are as follows: 8.2, 0, 0, between 10-20.
i am very confused and in shock. please help
