Is there a Freshwater puffer ..........
that would be OK to put in a Tropical tank of say 3 inches + tropical fish.
If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man.

I would be scared the angel fish would kill a SAP, they are so dang aggressive.

I worried about that too, but several nice triangular holes in its dorsal and ventral fins later, the angelfish in my ex and I's community tank with a SAP was oddly respectful of the puffer's space for an angel. The nipping luckily did not continue once the bullying stopped.

Don't worry about the puffers being harrassed by the angels. My SAPs were starting to tear up my angels except for the most aggressive one. Had to re-home the angels. When I had only one SAP, he didn't bother the angels but seemed bored despite any decorating I did. After I got 2 more SAP, he livened up but they beat up the angels. Catfish they leave alone as well as kuhli loaches.
