Rescued an 11" Mbu

Post by Mark7616 »

Well I recently made a thread about a mbu puffer with my current stocking. Well someone just down the road to me had terrible luck with an ammonia spike nearly killing the mbu I helped her get it back to health then her tank has cracked so she has given it to me. I picked it up this afternoon and it is now in my tank. I knew it got along with other fish as it was housed with a silver aro, kissing gourami and some plecs (I know a very poor stokcing) well it is now in my tank and is settling in well. I will just keep an eye on the aggresion between the mbu and my aro and tigers and see how it does. Here are some pics:

He is a lovely looking puffer. Have you thought about adding some more decorations and plants to your tank? It will help minimise the chances of aggression but also, create a more interesting environment for your fishies to explore.

If that Mbu is 11'', then that tank is pretty big. And that fish is very expensive, nice.

i think the tank wont be stimulating enough. I have my tanks very well planted with resting areas for my fish. seems like a friendly mbu though
