Hi Everyone..
Hi Everyone..
Back in sept I posted about buying a "dogface puffer" which actually turned out to be a stars and stripes, after a lot of soul searching I decided to re home the s&s (fonzie). I also contacted the shop about this and was told in no uncertain terms that I was wrong and they where right, quote "all puffers are dogfaces" aargghh. Anyway after 5 weeks letting my tank settle and my heart, I saw a lovely valentini and am now the proud carer of diddly squat (diddles to his family). He has been with me a few weeks and is really healthy and a buzzy little chap, eating well and feeds from my hand. Sorry probably boring you all now!! Anyway at work we have a tropical set up and are getting over run with little snails that are getting into the pump they would be as big as or a bit smaller than diddles eye, would i be able to put a few of these in my tank for him to eat? Also he seems to hang out with my cleaner shrimp alot and I have seen him tolerate a clean (probably sizing poor car wash up for a meal lol) but he is very cute and super to watch.

Actually, the LFS is partially right--both are Arothron species.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Hi PP, I did say to the shop person that they are from the same family but the lady was adamant that they are all actual dogfaces and there was no difference, which i found concerning as they do have different needs for there space, well not going to shop there anymore as I feel they would sell me a whale and tell me it could live in a 10g tank
any advice on the snails? Thanks

Re: Hi Everyone..
Mine likes to be cleaned by the Fire shrimp. Those snails will only work if he eats them right away, as they will die almost instantly in SW.
