Re: 1 SAP and Male Betta
those big flashy fins of the betta might look good to the SAP, i'd be worried about fin nipping but it might work.

Re: 1 SAP and Male Betta
i could see fights breaking out as well. a betta is territorial and a sap is tough so that might not be a good combo in a 10 gal

Re: 1 SAP and Male Betta
Just a quick note, not saying yess, but bettas are not the evil fish everyone thinks they are. They are actually very nice fish. They are great community fish and are only aggressive to similairly look fish since they resemble other male bettas. Good lfs's i have seen have there bettas in community fish tanks instead of those tiny cups.

Re: 1 SAP and Male Betta
The SAP would more and likely tear up the Betta as soon as it got a chance. The betta would not have a chance against a SAP's teeth and speed.

not in a 10 gallon, i used to have angelfish and a shoal of SAP in a 180 with no problems.

Re: 1 SAP and Male Betta
Definately not. Not only would that tank be too small, but even peaceful puffers do not go well with fish with long, flowing fins. Maybe in a 30G minimum.
