Puffers for 10 gallon? help?

hey im new to here and i used to own a gsp and he was bought from walmart xD i went to a store before hand and bought supplies they told me it was freshwater....and to give it snails and could go in a 10 gallon tank alone happily....they were wrong it only lasted 2-3 months...(longest a fish from walmart has ever lived but still) and umm i am dedicating a 10gallon tank especially for this kind of fish cuz i love puffers but i decided i wanted something more sinister looking but thats still friendly to their owners and less shy that can go alone in a 10 freshwater gallon tank im going to buy fake sand the one from pet stores and wash it and like you know put alot of plants and a hidding spot. i wanted like dark brown sand and plants that will look like trees xD and make it look like the woods XD and i was gonna clal the puffer Deku xD and umm you know i was thinking if there was a puffer fish with red eye like you know like...hmmm beady red eyes and a dark brown body if there was such a puffer id like it umm or if not a puffer with red eyes and darker skin would suffice my interest x3 ived read alot about puffers and iam extremely good at following directions i just need species with the care and everything

2-3 dwarf puffers. i believe they are called red eye puffers but not sure. you could have 1 of those. be sure to check the pufferpedia.

Irrubesco has red eyes, I think they are called "Red-eye" puffers. It may need a larger than 10 gal tank though.

A single irrubesco or lorteti (both have red eyes) will work fine in a 10g--if you can find one. Look in our Pufferpedia (above, under the Learn tab).

well were exactly could i buy one?

Your LFS might be able to order it for you, or you could order it online, but not to many sites sell them.

Where are you located? if your in SoCal, pet kingdom in SD sometimes gets them. along with fugu, GSP, figure eight, and an assortment of marine puffers.
