Re: Plants
Using an algaeside is not recomeneded by anyone I have seen except for the stores. You may have a chemical imbalance in your tank or some other issue causing all the algae. Sorry I'm new to plants and am trying to battle my own algae. Have you tried posting at plantgeek.net to try to find a solution?

Re: Plants
Many planted tank people say that your filter should should change the whole tank water 10x per hour or they install a powerhead to make sure that the CO2 gets everywhere around the tank. So you could try doing that or maybe reduce the amount of iron tabs that you are using to see if that helps.
I would be scared to use an algaeside and anyway if you don't combat why the algae is there in the first place it will only come back.
How's Archie getting on?
