what size can fahakas get to in a aquarium

what size can fahakas get to in a aquarium?.
i know they get to about 18in in the wild but was told they dont grow quite as big in captivatey,so would grow to about 12in to 14in.
is this true and how big has your fahaks grown?

With the proper feeding & housing, there is no reason a fish souldn't grow to their wild capacity or even larger, in captivity. They get way more food & have no enemies in a tank. Most folks don't give them enough room to grow though.

oh thats good,i would want mine to grow bigger and have a happy life.
he eats loads and is growing fast.

i have a 4x2x2 tank at the moment but that was the size tank i had when i brought him not the size tank i bought for him,im looking for tanks on aquarium classified and have seen some good 1s so things are looking up

Do you think a rio 400 would be sufficient for a lineatus? i have my 5 inch mbu moving to my 250 gall soon and i would love to have both species at once.

What are the dimentions? You'd want to be sure the fahaka can turn around without putting strain on its spine.
