75g tank with leak

Well I got a 75g leaky tank from my cousin, it seems that it's leaking because he decided that the middle brace was blocking the light to the middle of the tank so he cut it out, a week later it was leaking from the bottom, i was just wondering if anyone knows of a good way to re-brace it? I was going to just silicone the hell out of the bottom but then my brain started working and i realized it would just leak again.

empty the tank completly! rebrace the top obfviously. then buy another base and silicone it to the original base. then put a lot of weight in the tank leave and reuse

You must remove all internal silicone from the tank (scrape every bit with a razorblade & clean the rest with alcohol. Then reseal with new silicone. I have resealed many, many tanks.

you can brace it with a piece of glass and silicone at the top. After removing the silicone its a good Idea to clean with alcohol.

ahhhh glue a piece of glass across, i'll have to use something stronger than silicone but thanks for the idea, when it comes to building crap my brain shuts down, thanks

whenever ive built tanks i run a lip of glass about 3" from the top of the tank (which the sliders can rest on) i then rest + silicone the braces to these makes the tanks very very strong
