I was at an LFS, and just saw a whole whack of Takifugu Ocellatus. Recombinant Rider was along and saw em all, thats her finger holding up the quarter for size reference...about 5-5.5". Oh, how I wanted to get one...

I do miss this puff! They are so active, used to go nuts for cuddle fish and would splash all over the place.

Re: Pictures for Yunachin
After the baby is born and we planning to move so when I get into the new house I am going to set up an entire Fugu area for study. I am really excited about the progress these fish are making in the hobby as more and more people are coming to the understanding on how they need to be treated. I will get an article out there one day soon with the help of Marco and his amazing knowledge.

Re: Pictures for Yunachin
Excellent. I just want a fugu cuz they are one of the most awesome puffers to have...at least for me anyways. I will be awaiting your article. I'll be snapping away with photos, so if you ever need any, just send me a message and they are yours. These ones are a sub standard for me....so I will be looking to take better ones

I got mine for $13 at 2.5" from the same store. These are bigger, around 4-5".

Nice pics! Thanks!
I wish I could find takifugu here in Japan for pets. They are raised for food over here.

Re: Pictures for Yunachin
you'd think since they are raised for food over there you'd be able to find them easier
