Cautious Newbie Question

Post by Mr M'boo »

Hi everyone, I am the new owner of a 4 inch mbu puffer and whilst I am very happy, my inexperience is palpable. :)
Their eyes . . . are they supposed to have a blue sheen on them? Not totally covering the eyes, more just a little patch of translucent oilyness. I'm probably being overcautious but he/she wasn't cheap and I need to know that he/she's happy and healthy.
Thanks in advance . . .

Yes, many puffers have that blue reflection in their eyes. Another reason they are so special! Have you read the sticky here on mbus & the great article on them in our Library?

they usually have that cheeky glint in there eyes :)

youll get to know your puffer over time and soon know to spot any problems. best sign is looking at there belly usually that will go off color on mbus i find my big boy sulks when hes not well! usually nothing some apple snails wont fix! i just plonk in 10-15 aple snails and hes amused for hours!
