Hi, I got a question about my GSP. He really enjoy running up and down at the corner of my 20g long tank. Beside eating, that how he spend most of his time. He is healthy and have been eating well. Water parameter seem to be fine and the tank has been cycle for over 2 month now. I don't know if this even is a problem for the fish but I would like to know why is he behaving this way. And is there a way for him to swim around the tank normally. Any idea will help!

I recently raise it gravel level to full marine, do you think a 9 inch snowflake moray eel can coexist with my 1.5 inch GSP? how long do you think my gsp will out growth my 20g tank?

Puffers are very sensitive to Ammonia/Nitrite, I know the tank is cycled but adding a 9" eel will be detrimental to your GSPs health. Twenty gallons is only enough for the Puffer, they're messy eaters. I think a 20g tank is too small for a 9" eel. You should read the article on GSPs in our library, it specifies the salinity GSPs should be kept at depending upon their size and age. A juvenile should be kept in low brackish.

PUFFER RULES

Give your Puffer snails to wear down his/her teeth
Soak dry food with tank water/vitamin water
When buying a Puffer look for one with a fat belly

Sounds like puffer boredom, do you have a lot of decor in the tank?
Your GSP will outgrow that tank pretty soon so you might wanna upgrade ASAP.
I would advise against a SNowflake eel, they grow to be around 25-30 inches and get really wide too.

Yes, snowflake eels get HUGE! Eventually the GSP will outgrow the 20g tank. Why do you have the little juvenile GSP in SW already? Is there live rock & a skimmer on the tank? What are the water parameters?
