Saw these guys today at the LFS. Question...anyone keeping these guys with GSPs? Do you think its possible to keep one of them in a 70 gallon with a couple bitty GSPs in an SG of about 1.012?
Also, how big do they get?
Are these the Takifugu that are hard to keep alive - or is that the Occelatus?
These guys are $20.00 each - does that seem like a fair price?
Thanks for opinions.
Takifugu Oblongus - information and opinions please.

t. oblongus gets to about 40 cm...so they would require a large tank for ONE! they would require a full marine environment and gets to more twice the size of a GSP (so no with a gsp).
70 gallon should be fine with one oblongus...but will need to be upgraded since they will get to about 16 inches max.
they are relatively easy to keep alive...and yes ocellatus are the one that are imposible to keep.
I bought mine for 9.99 Canadian dollars...so 20 is a little to high...but supply and demand...if many ppl. wants it and there is a limited quantity...price will go up.
