Puffer food : Leaches?

Post by js97 »

Anyone given these as a treat to their fahakas?

I mean, if eathworms and snails are good, should leaches be okay? There must be a few of them along the bottom of the Nile river in africa?

(This came about while i was picking up some earthworms at the '24 hour' bait/tackle shop... in the middle of the city! - can you say Bodega?! )

I get them in my blackworms sometimes. The trouble is if the puffer doesn't bite it hard enough to kill it, and it latches onto the puffer. Now, imaging trying to pull a leech out from between the eyes of a panicked puffer.... NOT FUN.
