F8 hiding food
Hey, does anybody have an F8 that hides their food? I have 1 F8 in a tank all by herself and today discovered her stash of fresh clams. As soon as I place them into her tank she grabs them and starts hiding them next to one of her plants! It was hysterical, wish i could get a video!!

Does she eat all of the clam? If not, you'll have to remove the meat part, as it will create a huge spike in ammonia.
That's pretty funny, though, haha!

I never give the whole clam at once usually half in morning and half at night, def take anything uneaten out of the tank at nighttime. They're just so funny, what u catch them doing! I so badly want another but i don't think she'd want a roomie, shes such a diva!!
Re: F8 hiding food
That's one intelligent fish! Although since she's not in the wild she'll be poisoning herself with ammonia. Still, gotta respect her!

That sounds hilarious!
Hey, I have a question. When you feed your F8 clams, do you clean the guts and sand out or do you give it as is?
I have been wanting to try this, but don't know what to do.

I basically take the meat part out of the clam and sort of cut it up and place it in the tank. They love them, give it a try, they love squid too!
