Get a bunch of cheap tufa, and stack the live rock on that. It looks good, buffers, and makes a cool cave system under the live rock. It will also pick up coraline and other cool growth from the LR.
No matter how magnificent your successes or devastating your failures, the worlds' approximately 5 billion impoverished people could not possibly care less.

Re: GSP tank ideas
why not just leave it so the rock is across the bottom half, giving your puff room to swim over the top of it as well.
or
what about stacking it up in one corner/side?
I've just added another 16lbs of LR in with Bonzo (up to 32lbs now), at the moment it goes across the bottom at the back about half way up with plenty of gaps for him and his new buddies to explore between

A neat idea that I've seen is that you add some extra substrate, bury a piece of live rock that has a good-size hole/cave in it, and then put the substrate around it (thus creating an underground cave, so to speak). It looked pretty neat when I saw it!
Note, though, that it wasn't used for puffers... but who knows!

Re: GSP tank ideas
is this "Tuffa rock" what we over here would call ocean rock? if so, with a little patience and luck you'll get some pretty awesome pieces you could use for caves without having to bury live rock.
Bonzo is still the only puffer in there... but I'm sure if you looked a little to the left you'll see...
