Silly question about aragonite

Silly question about aragonite

I've been trying to price aragonite (also seeing if I have any choice in colors :roll: ). All of the aragonite I've found says something to the effect of "live sand". It also states that it adds a whole laudry list of other elements and nutrients to the water. Is this ok for my brackish tank, or should I find aragonite that isn't "alive"? :)

You pay extra for the "live" material. Many selections are available either way, but your local store may not stock them. Learn to read the expiration dates (sorry, I've forgotten, but Caribsea's dates used to be readable). Out of date material shoud be very deeply discounted - then just ribse well and use.
