web burrfish
hey guys, what do you know about web burrfish? I saw one on Sat and I have the store holding him for me. They told me he was treated for internal parasites for 3 days and was dewormed. Is that a long enough treatment? He's about 3 inches long, I was going to pick him up and put him in a qt for a few weeks. Should I re treat for internal parasites?, is a 20 gal qt tank big enough for a few weeks?

I think it's fantastic that a store would bother to treat their fish for IPs! Cudos to them--definately buy fish from that shop. 3 days should be good but you might want to treat again in a couple of weeks. 20g is a fine QT for him & then 100g for life.

Re: web burrfish
He had crypt in my tank & I sent him to live at a friend's where he could hypo him & all his tank mates, while I left the tank fallow for 8 weeks. He was supposed to go live with someone in CAN when he was better, because my tank was only 40g. He made it to CAN but got sick again & died.
I should have left him with my friend--his kids were in love with him.

I'm so sorry, its so hard to lose a fish. I love mine more than I do some people! LOL
I will post pics when I get him, I'm sure I will have tons more questions. All the books I read say they are one of the more difficult marine fishes to take care of, so I will need all the help I can get!!

He was the most favorite fish I've ever owned (other than my fahaka). I really tried not to get too attached, becaus I knew I couldn't keep him.dab335 wrote:I'm so sorry, its so hard to lose a fish.
