I want a puffer for my 40 Gallon...?
Hi, I have a 40 gallon with a 8 inch clown knife and a 7 inch albino sailfin pleco. Can I put a freshwater puffer in with them? If so, what would be the best one ?

Concidering your CK will grow to 3 feet, I think you probably should not get a puffer for that tank. After you upgrade the CK & pleco, you could consider many different choices. Consult the Pufferledia (under the Learn tab) for options.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

I really wouldn't put any more fish in that tank until you are sure you have a bigger tank for those fish. Even my 100G is WAY too small for an adult CK.
Putting that aside, CKs have flowing fins, and would make terrible puffer tankmates. Sorry, but I don't think it would work. MAYBE SAPs, but only if you can accomidate for a ]V[ Fish as an adult.
