my gsp, spot, is THRIVING. hes currently in a 30 gallon and his SG has hit 1.012. im holding it steady till he gets a little bigger and then will increase again. im taking the slow steady route. we have a little routine now. every morning, he greets me when i turn his light on. then he settles down under his heater (he doesnt touch it) and takes a nap. by the afternoon, when i get home, hes up and active and swimming around checking all the nooks and crannies in his tank for goodies. i toss a snail or two in every couple of days randomly. i try to toss it where he doesnt see it so he has to look for it and gets a suprise. once the sun goes down, he knows its time to eat. he chases the spoon to the top of the tank so eager for his dinner. he pouts on the day he doesnt get fed. he is almost always super white bellied and neon green on top. the only time he isnt anymore is when hes asleep, and he doesnt gray out that much anymore even when hes sleeping. hes eating like a champ. i had a little while where he seemed very shy and wasnt eating well. he got a little thin, no hollow belly or anything, but not gently rounded underneath either. now hes got that lovely club shape to him. he eats off the surface of the water instead of chasing the food on the bottom. he doesnt pace the glass except when its dinner time, and that stops the instant the food hits the water. hes just got so much personality! i thought it would be boring to only have one fish in a tank, but hes just great. i dont plan to ever get him a tank mate. im just going to keep him and see where it goes. i hope he has a long happy life
