Dragon Hump Puffer?????
Dragon Hump Puffer?????
Somebody is selling this listed as a very rare "Dragon Hump Puffer" in my area...but I've never heard of it nor can find any information on it. Mistaken identity?

Nope. This is a different one. Im looking to get another puffer as well. Hopefully something similar to Fahaka in personality. Just something I'm considering.cobra1713 wrote:is this the same puffer thats in the other thread? it looks really different

Not like a fahaka--another lurker.

Re: Dragon Hump Puffer?????
it does look kinda like KJB's puffer that he is trying to identify. I think there is a difference in the spot pattern as it goes under the belly though. here is that thread viewtopic.php?f=4&t=13466cobra1713 wrote:is this the same puffer thats in the other thread? it looks really different

I've decided to just go Fahaka. No going to waste any more time looking for something similar. :O)Pufferpunk wrote:Not like a fahaka--another lurker.

Re: Dragon Hump Puffer?????
The more i get into this puffer stuff, the more i think the FAHAKA would make the ideal puffer pet. Except it gets a little too big. 6-9 inches would be soo much better thatn the possible 14 it gets to.

Fahaka's just have sooo much personality. He was 13.5" and would let me hold him...pet his head..feed him by hand....loved how he used to curl his lips and show me his chompers and the wave he made in the water as he skimmed across the top. If your tank is big enough....get one.js97 wrote:The more i get into this puffer stuff, the more i think the FAHAKA would makes the ideal puffer pet. It's no big deal really....always careful of course. He was so used to me handling him that it was no big deal. Trust I guess...but I would count all my fingers just to make sure....9.5...heehee..kidding.cobra1713 wrote:hand feed a fahaka....... idk if thats such a good idea, ive seen the teeth on those guys i would get my hand near those beaks no matter how nice they are lol

Believe it or not, I was selling my condo a few years back and someone actually put a condition that I leave my aquarium with "the big fish" in the offer documentation. I refused of course.

Re: Dragon Hump Puffer?????
I didn't even tell you the best part....so because I had a smaller feeder tank beside my large tank to hold feeders of course...well as they were viewing the place while I was at work I came home to two surprises. One was that they must have dump about 1/4 of the jar of goldfish food into my Fahaka tank to try and feed him and the other is that they actually answered my phone. My mom had called as was like "who the hell is this...?"...they said they were just viewing the home w their agent. Really weird. But all in all I bet its the first Fahaka to actually be entered in a house contract offer.
