Found frozen crabs for puffers for cheap! Picture and video

Post by recombinantrider »

I've done my grocery shopping over the weekend at a Chinese supermarker (Ranch 99 for those LA locals) and found a nice bag of frozen crabs, about 30-40 crabs/pack for only $2.50!

Here's a video of my Takifugu ocellatus going nuts about it and ended up with a big belly bump after the scrumptious meal:

I cracked open about 1/3 of the crab, washed all the innards out as they just cloud the water like crazy, and threw it into the tank.

Tried it on my GSP as well but he was more confused about it. I'll experiment a little more....

Thanks! Sushi is awesome. He has the pride of a predator (uninterested in any hand feeding...at all. He seriously would not touch the food held in my hand but as soon as I drop it in the water he just CHOMPS) and the cuteness of a really smart kid (checks me out while hovering behind a rock silently, as if he's poking his head out just to observe my activity as I approach).

I love how he smacks his lips between bites.
Job 12:7-10. But ask the animals, and they will teach you; or birds of the air
and they will tell you; or speak to the earth and it will teach you; or let the fish
of the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the
lord has done this. In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all
mankind.
