Covering The Intakes

Post by blondenblue »

After my dogface getting stuck to my intake pipe, i waswondering the best way to screen the pipes so it cant do it again?
Is this common with puffers? how does everyone stop it happening??
I have 2 gravity fed pipes that go down to a sump tank and it was stuck to one of them so i guess it started syphoning and it couldn't get off.
My only problem is i dont want to restrict the water flow down the pipes.
Any ideas pleas

well idk if it would work with wow your set up is but with my intakes to my HOB filters on my community tanks i put a sponge on the intake pipe and it spreades the flow out so its not as strong. (i have a leaf fish that always got stuck to the pipe) so maybe you could rig something like that up.
