need some info on puffer for 15 gallon

hello im new to this site.
i would like to do some sort of pufer for a 15 its doesnt really matter much which kind so far i've liked all kinds ive seen. just needs to live comfortable in a 15 for life. also a site that sells puffers would be great.

Is it a 15 long or a 15 high? For that size tank, you could do 3 Dwarf Puffers if you want, but they are fairly small.

I have never ordered fish offline. If I were you, I would check out all of the Local Fish Stores in your area. DPs (Dwarf Puffers) are not that uncommon.

i live in utah and have been to most of the fish stores in the state and they suck. 85% of them are full saltwater and the rest are african lol

do think a red eye puffer would work? or a figure 8?

red eye, sort of, i have no personal eperience but i believe the minimum is 20 gallons but if you were to stay on top of water changes it might work in a 15, but i would check with someone who has personal experience with them, i mean idealy its not the best but it isnt torture.

Your tank is 2 feet long and 1 foot wide and tall. Planted, it could make an interesting tank for a red-eyed. Figure eight puffers aren't completely freshwater, so I would stay away from them unless you are willing to make a brackish tank.

And Cobra, F8s get bigger than Red-eyes

yea but i was going by the pufferpedia about red eyes lol i know a figure 8 would do great in a 15 i just have no expierence in irubescos and the pufferpedia says minimum is 20 so i didnt want to suggest something that was wrong, kinda like the mbu only grows, what 6 inches longer than fahaka but requires a tank almost 10X as large kinda thing.

cool so a red eye would work i really like their looks. i didnt want to do brackish unless i wanted to but i didnt want to do the oscar ina 30 thing either.

The term "red-eye" just won't work. There are way too many different species with red eyes. Which species are you refering to?

I would go for 3 or 4 Carinotetraodon travancorius in a densely planted tank.
