New to marines and new to puffers. Valentini ?

Post by krissy8364 »

Hi all-

I am new to the marine world and asking questions first instead of regretting later. I have a 20 gallon cube that I would like to setup as a marine tank. I was wondering if two clowns and a valentini puffer would be too much of a bioload? Also, if it is okay, which should I obtain first?

Thanks in advance for your help!

What kind of clownfish are you looking at? I would say the clowns would be plenty for the tank. Check out the PufferPedia and Library for great information and articles. :)

Ocelleris.

Do think the puffer and clowns would be too much then? One clown and a puffer? The puffer is really what I want and would be willing to scrap the clowns if need be. Suggestions?

Look at the Pufferpedia here for minimum tank sizes for puffers. I believe 30g would be good for a Valentini. Definately not all 3 in a 20g.

I agree with the 30g. Puffers like room to explore. :)
