A question about the Tetraodon schoutedeni

Post by Mother Yoda »

As I had read through the June 2007 issue of the Aquarium fish magazine they made a mention of the Tetraodon schoutedeni. They only went into brief detail though but from what it sounds like this puffer is perfect for what I currently have. So, I ask you people do you know anything about these puffers, from personal experience and/or have read an in depth article of it? Lastly do any of you people know of a store within the US that will ship these fish?

This puffer will not be imported now and in the near future due to the problematic situation in central Africa.
Those named as T. schoutedeni and often found as T. schoutedeni in the internet are in fact mostly T. nigroviridis.

The Aqualog puffer book has information on the real T. schoutedeni from the times when this puffer was imported (50s to approx. 80s). I haven't seen them since the 80s.
