They've got a black bar just under the dorsal and just above the anal. I don't think the pics show them all that well. They're definitely green little buggers .
Teeeeny weeny little guys. About 2/3".

Awesome. I had a look around earlier and I was almost certain I'd hear A. modestus.
So totally fresh then huh? I have 3 now. How big of a tank would I need for all of them? Would they get along with SAP's if they "grew up" together?

I do believe if given enough decor (lots of broken lines of sight), the 3 could live together bar scrapping between them. I would give them about 20g ea as 5" adults. If you lose one, I don't suggest replacing it. Thjey do not accept newcommers. I wouldn't put the kinder, gentler species of SAPs w/them, but cichlids should do fine.

There are 4 A. Modestus at where I work and we had them in a 220 and they tried to kill eachother. There were plenty broken lines of sight, but in the end it came down to degrading them to smaller tanks with only a single puff in them.

I'm still learning about them. Wehn I had 3 they were only 1". 1 jumped & the other I found as a fungus ball. So I never found out for sure if they could grow up together or not. I do know what happened when I tried to add a new fellow to the tank...
