Anyone know about red-eye puffers?

Last night I was at my LFS getting plants in prep for what I had planned to be a dwarf puffer tank, but I've had absolutely no luck tracking down dwarf puffers in my area, and the idea of ordering them online sketches me out. The guy working there talked me into bringing home a male and female carinotetraodon lorteti, and assured me that if my 10 gallon tank was heavily planted enough, the two would do alright together. Right now I have a bunch of wendtii, java moss, and najas as well as a few decorations to break up the lines of sight, and I haven't witnessed any harassment, though to be honest, the lorteti seem to be more intent on hiding than anything else.

This morning I caught one of them sleeping in the najas/java moss, which was really neat because (I think it was the her) eyes were green, and when she woke up they turned back to red.

My two lorteti are maybe 1/2" each, so they're still quite young, and when they get to about an inch a piece, I'll move them and all of the other stuff in their tank to a 30 gallon...I know that the 10 gallon can't be their forever home.

I've been trying to find information on the lorteti, but there doesn't seem to be too much out there...can anyone tell me about them? Any information would be most appreciated. Right now all I know is that they're FW, they lay eggs in java moss, they eat "standard" puffer fare, and the males and females look quite different.

i dont have any personal experience but i would check the irubesco (sp?) i know those are fairly common red eyed puffers so that might be what you have, you could post a pic for an ID? and as long as you have intentions on moving them to a larger home soon your headed in the right direction but let someone with some more first hand experience with the red eyes help you.

a 20 could house 2, so long as it's very heavily planted.
