Need Snails!

Ok, I have been to the pet store week after week after week and no snails. well they had snails that were the size of Shemp, and now my wife picked up a F8 and we named him Curly. But i cant find snails anywhere need some help maybe someone is in my area doubtful but hopefull. Im in NC any ideas would also be helpfull im getting ready to drive 50 miles i guess also to check out another pet store. everyone else seems to have snail problems i cant find one!

Mail order might be what you have to do. They even sell live snails on ebay. Do a search for them on the net if you can not find any near you. Also, have you checked out the feeding article in the library here?

Ebay is a decent place to get snails. You can try Aquabid.com too. Other than that, I guess you could try a greenhouse that sells pond plants and see if they have snail problems.

What about breeding your own? Admittedly you need a few to start you off, but thereafter it's a constant supply It's what I used to do when I had F8s, and our new snail/shrimp breeding tank should arrive soon so we've got a supply for when we get puffers again.
