60 gall community (inhabitants in my signature)
feeding flakes, sinking loache waffers and algae waffers in tank with occasional bloodworms
water changes 25-50% every 7-10 days using amquel+
only a water change in the last week everything else has been the same, did change back to amquel+ as a water conditioner about three water changes ago.
tank has been running for 8 months or so and fishless cycled
ok well i have a yoyo loach and it has been flashing latly (twitching) and i was wondering if anyone had experience with this, i looked for signs of ich and didnt see any. my next guess was maybe some other sort of parasite? or another idea was maybe that the yoyoloach dont like amquel+? it is the only thing i changed. so any people have problem with amquel? or any other ideas on what to do cus it is really starting to freak me out.
and one of my black skirt tetras has a problem by his gills, looks like he got bit or somthing its bloody but it isnt bothering him at all, should i melafix the tank?

Since this board has been up, we have found there are several questions that routinely get asked in order to help diagnose problems. If you can have that information to begin with in your post, we'll be able to help right away (if we can!) without having to wait for you to post the info we need.
1) Your water parameters - pH, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrates and salinity (if appropriate). This is by far the most important information you can provide! Do not answer this with "Fine" "Perfect" "ok", that tells us nothing. We need hard numbers.
2) Tank size and a list of ALL inhabitants. Include algae eaters, plecos, everything. We need to know what you have and how big the tank is.
3) Feeding, water change schedule and a list of all products you are using or have added to the tank (examples: Cycle, Amquel, salt, etc)
4) What changes you've made in the tank in the last week or so. Sometimes its the little things that make all the difference.
5) How long the aquarium has been set up, and how did you cycle it? If you don't know what cycling is read this: Fishless Cycling Article and familiarize yourself with all the information. Yes. All of it.
We want to help, and providing this information will go a LONG way to getting a diagnosis and hopeful cure that much faster.
While you wait for assistance:
One of the easiest and best ways to help your fish feel better is clean water! If you are already on a regular water change schedule (50% weekly is recommended) a good step to making your fish more comfortable while waiting for diagnosis/suggestions is to do a large water change immediately. Feel free to repeat daily or as often as you can, clean water is always a good thing! Use of Amquel or Prime as a dechlor may help with any ammonia or nitrite issues, and is highly recommended.
Note - if you do not normally do large water changes, doing a sudden, large water change could shock your fish by suddenly changing their established water chemistry. Clean water is still your first goal, so in this case, do several smaller (10%) water changes over the next day or two before starting any large ones.

I have one of these and many clown loaches over time. I think this is fairly standard behaviour for them, though I have no explanation why. As long as your water changes are suitable and regular I wouldn't worry too much about this

Yoyo loaches are pretty weird fish, and they do tend to do that. Clown Loaches lie on their sides, and many an inexperienced hobbyist get their nets wet because they thought that their dear fish was dead. As for the black skirt tetra, I would personally QT it if it looks visually sick. Melafix sounds like a good idea. Keep in mind when treating the whole tank that CLs are considered scaleless and VERY susceptible to medicines.
Overall, QT+Melafix the Tetra, and keep an eye on the loach
Also, why do you have only one clown loach? They are shoaling fish (and addictive)

ok thanks for the help, yea im gonna add some mela fix in the tank just for overall purposes (scaless dose) just cus the tetra and i found my leaf fish on the filter again and he got a scrape so i dont have room to quarentine them both so ill just dose the whole tank.
as far as the loach ive been waiting for the fish store to get some more in that dont have ich or some for of disease, they just keep getting horrible supplies in and have to treat them and by the time i get back to buy some more theyve either sold them all or they have all died so onve i can find some good one im gonna get a couple more.

I've found leaf fish aren't too happy about high current - is there a lot of water movement?

just a 200GPH filter and a 10" bubble wand which im thinking about turning off for a while and see if he likes it better.
