Hello all I am pretty sure this is a Arothron hispidus White-spotted puffer from Hawaii ?? Correct ?? If so they get get big right.
Long story short ordered a different puffer got this one by mistake and I am pretty sure that he will end up way to big for my tank. Love him already but I know in my heart that it is better to get rid of him now to someone with a larger tank. Can someone please confirm type and size for me. Thanks all.

Thank you both, yes that is what I expected that he was. Just breaks my heart to let him go, but just don't have the room for a 250 - 300gl at this time. He is only about 4" right now and doing so great got quite the personality too (as we all know most of the puffers do), but the longer I keep him the harder it will be. Bright spot is I am next in line for the Dalmation Puffer that I did want all along, from another source beside the one that sent me the white spotted. Moral of this story is never trust importers to send you what they promise. Again thank for confirming this for me, I think deep down I was hoping that I was wrong.

The puffer you have looks just like my Elvis. He is no coward that's for sure. He is actually quite the entertainer. My GSP's are my cowards. It seems they hide all the time. Elvis will even eat out of my hand and would probally take a bite of my hand if I didn't move so fast. If someone new comes in the house he will follow them around the tank and give them the evil eye. It's quite funny to watch. I'm sure you won't have any trouble finding him a good home.

That sound just like Buddy (that is what I call him), had him eating out of my hand the first week. Looks like I do possibly have a home for him just have to check them out and approve. Breaks my heart but all for the best.
