F8 Shelled diet.

Post by AquatiCreations »

Hello,all
Im having trouble with finding small enough snails for my F8 to crush, when i feed him larger pond snails he just sucks them out of their shells. And i certainly don't want his teeth to overgrow. So please make some suggestions, bear in mind that whatever i give him has to be plant friendly as his tank is heavily planted.

There is plenty of other shelled foods to feed your puffer. Check our Library for feeding articles.

Have you tried cockles / clams in shell? My F8's go crazy trying to open them to get at the insides

Ah ok that sounds good, Another question how long should he be "Fat"you probably know what i mean, when you feed them and they get that huge bulge in the stomach, because I keep hearing people talking about parasites,And need to treat for them if he does.
