Question 3...Last one, I swear...

Post by billysgirl4e »

So...a brackish tank. A lot of medicines specify freshwater or saltwater (for instance, Maracide, Maracyn II). When medicines specify that, how do you know which to use if you're somewhere in between? Same thing with test kits....how do you know which to use? Does it matter?
Thanks for input.

Hopefully, by the time your tank gets to the point you need to be councerned with using meds in BW, you'll have a nice, healthy fish that won't need them. All my meds are outdated, becase they are never used!
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

I had that problem at first especially with test kits but i then discovered that you can get those that suit both fresh and salt water; so i use them

I go by "if it has any salt at all, use saltwater meds and tests." I had the same question when I started, and that's what someone told me. I don't know if it really makes a difference until it's high brackish, but just in case...
