Still awaiting the delivery from that Discus place........ Hoping it will be in today but there was a bank holiday weekend and there is a lot of fog today so fingers crossed......

polyfilter pads shouldn't make any difference, they're used for removing fine particles in the water, it's the black carbon pads that strip medications and other impurities out of the water, they should be left out until treatment has finished

naaaaaa, PolyFilter (as in the brand name) It is a chemical filter pad that I use instead of carbon pads.....

That sounds like a good idea. Should i mix up the same volume of med as i did to dose the tank and soak? I don't want to overdose him.

That would be the plan. Try to soak for at least 2 hours. You may have to add garlic for better taste.
