Harry Has Moved

Just wanted to let you guys know that on Sunday Harry [GSP] finally moved from the 10gal to the resealed 30gal.
The water in the 2 tanks were a bit different so to be safe I did a slow acclimation. Harry showed no stress at all. He did great in the 10gal and he appears to be doing great in his 30gal. Other than resealing the bottom of the 30gal, which I hope to never do again, things went very smooth and Harry has a been a tough little trooper through the whole thing.

I am so relieved to finally get Harry into his proper home. His color is just beautiful and his new ghost shrimp "friends" will hopefully be with him soon.

I feel like I owe a lot of it to you. Slow acclimation is one of the best things I've ever learned. In all of my fish years no one ever taught me that and I never really hung out on fish lists for very long until this one. It was add a cup of water every few mins. I know that works for a lot of people and it did pretty well for me, but since I've been doing the drip I haven't lost one fish. My new FW crew are doing fantastic.

The light on this 30gal shows off Harry's colors much better.

I don't count the poor sick puffers that I bought.

Yeah, you can never blame yourself when the puffers are already incredibly sick and getting worse. I've learned that lesson the hard way, unfortunately.

I love the drip-method because I don't have to remember to put in a cup of water every 15 minutes, haha! I just set it up and look at it every now and then to make sure the water hasn't spilled over the side!
