Post by t1gerbee »

.. quick poll for porcupine puffer keepers...

are your porcs more active during the day or night? Has their behaviour changed over time?

I have only had my porc for about 4 months. She is more active during the day. At the moment she still has cloudy eyes but still more active when the lights are on.

For the most part during the day. Sometimes they sleep during the day and are more active at night but thats just ME.

Our porc is not a morning fish, she hates when we turn on the lights. She isn't always active, sometimes she lays around and looks almost dead, but when you come by the tank she gets up and moves (most of the time), I think she is just lazy, At the store she was with a clown trigger and I guess always had to be on the move but now she is alone so she doesn't have to move around as much. Off topic but I thought I would ask, her tail is almost gone, from when my friend bought her, can I add some mela or just leave it alone and it will grow back?

Yes this is the porc that has ich. My boyfriend and I are having some problems, so I haven't startd treatment. I just got a job and work a lot and so does my boyfriend. She is at our house so we can start treatment, but we have to move by July so we have been working non stop. I will start treatment this weekend as we are both off work. So I will need some more info on the hypo.
