Too much in tank?

I was just wondering if any might have insight on my dilemma. I have a 44 gallon corner tank with many clay pots, rock "cave" (two rocks leaned together), some plants, two pieces of wood, bubble curtain, piece of coral, lava rock, a shell. Two heaters, Emperor 280 filter.

I currently have two F8 puffers, which is just fine for that size tank, but I ordered 5 bumblebee gobies, through my lfs, that will come in within about 2 weeks. Is that too much for my tank?

IMO i think that should be fine, although it all depends on your puffers attitude i mean tank size and hiding spots and everything your fine but the only thing you have to worry about is if your puffers have an attitude and dont like BBG, but usually they are fine with them.

BTW tank sounds awesome can you get a pic?

I think that bbgs don't add too much to the bio load. I have one in my tank and sometimes I don't even notice him. I think f8s are pretty mild mannered, and I have never had one that has gone after my bbg.

Sounds okay. Why did you want two heaters? IMO, one will be just fine.

yeah the figure 8s only realy need 30 gallons so 44 is fine and bbgs add almost no bioload im sure this will be fine if they arnt eaten

I went with two heaters because I already had a 125w, which seemed too small. Plus the heater that came with the tank, a 200w, didn't seem to be enough either, and I just wanted to make sure that it was warm enough. I haven't been brave enough to experiment. Lol.

So far, the F8s are tolerating each other very well, so I'm hoping for the best. Can't wait for my bbgs!

also another good thing about having two is that way if one gives out or gets unplugged your not complety without a heater if your house is really cold. i mean i only run one heater but i live in the desert i almost have to put chillers on my tanks right now (im almost considering thinking about something to bring the temp down during the day)

The only thing I'd suggest would be to add a lot more decor. Get a few big bushy plants in there (real or fake). Something for them to take cover in if one gets aggressive for any reason, and just because puffers like to have a lot to explore. But the stocking looks fine to me.

I have a 200w on my 55g and it seems fine, but it's always good to have backup. Tanks looks cool, I agree though, your decor needs to go a little more vertical.

Yeah, I've been looking for some better plants. The fake ones available in my area are sooo fake looking it's gross. lol. And the real ones can't grow in the brackish water. So I guess I'll have to go online. Again. Oh well. It's too bad 'cause it looked really great in my 20g long tank!

Yeah, definately some tall plants are in order. Try the silk ones, if you don't like the look of plastic. You can order online too.

There's a bunch of live plants that grow in brackish water. I don't have the link to the site with the massive list, but I'm sure someone could give it to you, or just google it.

I've got live Vals and Java fern in my brackish and they're doing fine. You have to acclimate the plants slowly though.
