congo puffer

I was just wondering how hard these are to keep and if anyone could post their experiences with this fish. Also, are they very hard to come by? (I live in the UK, if that makes any difference)

We live in the Uk ( South East) and have had a Congo puffer for the past 3 1/2 years. He is a sweetheart, although he isn't the most active of puffers and we mostly see little eyes peering out of the sand. He takes food from my hand when he is really hungry and has a very distict personality of his own
I have seen about 8 or 10 Congo puffers in our area, most in one or other of the maidenhead aquatics shops. If you are anywhere near Brighton, they had a large Congo puffer there not so long ago, he had been there for months but may have been sold by now.
They are true lurker puffers so you won't see much of your fish but we love our Congo dearly.

Unfortunately Brighton is a bit far for me but there is a Maidenhead Aquatics near us and they seem to be a good shop so I will have a look there. At the moment I am torn between whether to get a congo puffer or some dwarf puffers. It's funny really 'cause the dwarf puffers are completely different to congos when it comes to activeness!

Well anyway thanks for the help I will have to have a think on what I want.

We have dwarfs too and they are certainly very different lol. Our dwarfs are over three now so quite elderly and although not as active and friendly as they used to be , they are sweet little fish and all three of ours are very different.
