I found some pea puffers at a lfs. I am pretty sure they are dwarf puffers. My tank is 50 gallons, cycled and planted. Can I get around 6 for the tank?
thanks

Re: I found some!!!!
with 50 gallons i would say prob a few more than 6 i would think 9 would even be a problem
you could try feeding them tonight but they might just not eat so it might be a waste so you could just wait.

Do you plan on adding more fish? 6-10 will work but you should try your best to sex them & have 1 F for each M. Have you seen the article on sexing them here?

With enough decor they may be OK in a tank that size. Keep an eye on them though, for signs of agression.

Re: I found some!!!!
Congrats on finding some puffers! I would guess you could keep up to 10 DP's in there. But IMO opinion less would be better for now. The ratio of males to females is an important stocking factor. Enjoy your new friends and if you can share some pics with us plz
