Porc Not Eating

My friend got this new proc and he doesn't have the internet so he asked me to ask some questions. He has him in a 120 gallon (I think I'm not 100% on that) he is just a baby and when he got him he called me and asked me to come over and look him over, but I am not an expert on puffers, and I know less about marine puffers. He looks pretty good hes about 3 inches long and his head is huge he belly is a little sunk in, but he told me that he made the store feed him before they bought him and said he was eating well. When we put him in the tank after an hour of him freaking out in the bag (he also threw up all the food they had given him at the store, so I knew he ate and puffed) we fed him just to see if he would eat. The only thing he would eat was live brine shrimp and frozen krill. He picked him up on Friday and he still hasn't eaten much. Today we tried to feed him squid and mysis shrimp he acts like he doesn't see small food but he will eat all the brine shrimp you can put in the tank. He bought some silver sides today but hasn't tried feeding him that. Is there anything else he should be doing? He tried garlic and that didn't seem to help much, he will only eat (readily) the live brine shrimp and I know thats not really good for him and I know the krill isn't great for him either. He doesn't want him to die and neither do I, he doesn't seem unhappy, he is swimming and he hides in the rocks and in the plants and swims all around. We dosed the tank and bag with prazipro. I told him to buy amquel and prime and the tank has been set up for a few months I'm not excetly sure hom long but I tested it for him and so did the pet store. I will get some pictures of him to show him off. I feel like he is my puffer since I have been helping him all weekend and I can go see the puff anytime. Please help thanks!!

How long has the porc been in the tank for? They can take awhile to settle in.

I wouldnt be adding any medications unless there is a reason to.

I only added the prazi because I know they can have ips and he is kinda skinny so I thought that he should be treated for ips. He has been in the tank since Friday night.

Well my firend asked me to go over to his house and help him feed Gizmo, at first he didn't want to eat and my lfs showed me how to try and and feed porcs. So I had my boyfriend grab him while I tried to feed him sliversides, he puffed which scared us since we have never seen one puff (except when he was in the bag but it wasn't a full puff) so my boyfriend let him go because I didn't want to upset him anymore and in the confusion I dropped the silverside but after my boyfriend let him go he deflated and ate the silversides like nothing had happened. I know this isn't a good food to feed him all the time but we want him to eat before he gets sick. I also told my friend to get some mussels and should I tell him to open it or just crack it and throw it in? I bought some snails for him so he can eat some snails and he puts the whole thing in his mouth and chews them like gum for a little while and then spits them out and does it all over again. The snails are small, and there are also some feeder shrimp in there that he has tried to eat but they are too fast. He seems like he wants to eat but when he goes in to eat the food he acts like he has ADD and sees something else that he would rather look at like things outside the tank, he is still kinda shy so when the food is added he kinda hides so I told him to just walk away from the tank and come back and see if he has eaten. We helped him do a big water change on the tank about 18 gallons on Sunday so the levels are good and he cleans all the extra food out of the tank after about an hour. Is there anything else we can do? He also bought some garlic stuff and that did seem to help either, this Thursday he is going to buy some vitimins from dr. foster and smith so he is healthy.

Well when they brought him home he asked us what he looks like and my boyfriend said he looks like gizmo and I was like oh no don't put him in the water or feed him after midnight! He is so cute I wish he was mine ut I don't have a tank big enough for him. Plus I don't know much about marine puffers so I wouldn't have started with him but I can see why my friend brought him home he is the cutest puffer I have ever seen!
