Salt Water Puffer Food

So I have been reading a lot of posts about salt water fish and I was wondering what kinds of feeder food you feed them? I bought some snails and my puffer doesn't seem to care about them, I also have some feeder shrimp ( I don't know what they are called they are clear with red stripes) they hide all the time and I don't think he even notices them. I also have never fed them mussell do most puffers eat them or not? What other kinds of foods does every one feed their puffers just wondering, and yes I have read the library article!

Mussel, clam, squid, brine shrimp about every other week as a snack(they love chasing them for a long time, they dont' die in SW tanks like they do in FW) frozen mysis shrimp are good too.

Like do I just drop in the mussells? How long should I leave it in there? Do you mean live brine shrimp? I thought that wasn't good for them. How many should I give him? I don't want to dump a bunch in there and then never know if he has eaten them or not, or should I keep them in the tank. I can only buy live brine shrimp by the teaspoon (which is like half a bag full). Should I keep them in a separate tank (sw or fw)? I have tried brine shrimp with gsp and then after I gave them that they wouldn't eat anything but live food, is that because thats all they ate at the lfs or once they have live food they always want live food. I just don't want to add a bunch of brine shrimp and then have them hide and add to my ammonia.

Mine like live food best, but still love mussels and other "dead" food. I drop in just enough for them to get full bellies, no more, usually on the half shell. Brine shrimps are a treat for them, only a couple times a month. I take any leftover mussel out in a couple hours.
