I just don't know if Paris is weird or just plain stupid sometimes!
I was feeding her tonight, she's the only fish I haven't moved to the new apartment yet. So she's still in her temp tank. Well, this tank had a bunch of salt creep built up on the skimmer box, and when I bumped the lid, a huge chunk fell in. She'd already eaten 3/4's of her shrimp, but went after this big sinking white chunk. I figured she'd take a bite, spit it out and swim away, but she sat there and ate the whole chunk, bite after bite!
I hope she doesn't expect me to start seasoning her shrimp!!

Re: Salt addict!
The damsel tank at my job has a hangon skimmer, which has a TINY leak that gives it a little bead of salt I knock back into the tank EVERY TIME they go crazy trying to eat all the bits of salt, then spitting most out, then bite it again.
No matter how magnificent your successes or devastating your failures, the worlds' approximately 5 billion impoverished people could not possibly care less.

I love how fish go to eat something find out its poo or something nasty and spit it out then its like they forgot they just ate that and try again! It cracks me up, I know puffer do this but I think they are just chewing but other fish do it over and over till it stops moving and then they forget all about it till another piece floats by.

ha ha, that amused me so much.. it is soooo true...
'what's this.. hmmm... someone else's poo... tastes foul, spit that out...!' two seconds later...'ah ha, what's this... oh, it's someone elses's poo again.. don't want that... spit'...
two seconds later
'ah ha... what's this.....'
maybe fish aren't the brightest..
